Here you’ll find a step by step tutorial on how to register at our forum and how to configure your account (language, avatars etc...).
The default language of this forum is English. You can change this later in your account related settings if you desire. There are three sections, in German, English and Spanish, each one with the same layout. Postings will not be translated automatically although interesting topics could be. You are welcome to help out with this if you like.

Ok, let's register and become a member here. Click on
Register in the menu in the upper left. Here you will be asked for some personal details needed for registration.
- "Choose username": your desired login name
- "Email": a valid email address please
- "Hide email address from public?": if you do not want your email address to be viewable to the public (recommended)
- "Choose password": your desired password
- "Verify password": your password again to avoid mistakes
- "Visual verification": please type the letters shown in the small picture into the field below
Now the usage agreement follows.
By setting the check box at
"I Agree" you agree the terms and conditions and by pressing the button
"Register" you send the form.
Then you will see the following message:
Please go to your email account and wait for the following email:
This email contains the following text. Please click on the link.
Then you will be directed to the forum and your account will be activated.
Please login now.

After login you will see the main page of the forum. To edit your profile click
"Profile" in the menu in the upper left.
There you will see a summary of your account. On the left you see three menu boxes. The upper box "Profile Info" shows all information about your account. The box at the bottom "Actions" contains a link to delete your account (You most probably don't want to do that right now.

"Modify Profiles" is now of importance to you. Here you can configure your account.
Please click now on the first link in this box, called
"Account Related Settings".
The following things you can edit there:
- The Username is required for login procedure. This you cannot change because your accounts ID. But in the next field "Name" you can change your name as it is visible to the forum and its members.
- "Preferred Language": the language you'd like to use in the forum. In our case leave it as it is ("English").
- "Hide email address from public?": If anonymity and protection of privacy is important to you please check this checkbox. This prevents your email from being seen by other members of the forum.
- "Show others your online status?": If checked other members of the forum can see whether you are online or not.
The other fields are self-explanatory. To apply changes made in this form you need to put your current password in the last field
"Current Password" and press the button
"Change profile". (If you chose a different language you will find the forum changed to it.)

In the menu box
"Modify Profile" you find the next link "Forum Profile Information" where you can upload your personalized picture (avatar) and enter a personal text, which is shown next to your name. The other fields are self-explanatory.
The next link is
"Look and Layout Preferences". Here you can adjust the look of the forum and how it should interact with you. Also you can adjust your time zone here.
At the next link
"Notifications and Email" you can edit your notification settings.
At the last link
"Personal Message Options" you can edit you settings regarding personal message between members inside the forum.
